In a stunning revelation, Afrobeats sensation Davido has unveiled that he now commands a staggering $600,000, equivalent to N450 million, for a single music performance.

The Nigerian superstar shared this revelation during a candid conversation with Zahir Jooma, co-owner of the renowned jewelry store, Icebox.

Davido, whose influence has grown exponentially during his over decade-long music career, shed light on his strategic approach to show bookings.

He emphasized the importance of teamwork and careful consideration before making any commitments.

With a firm eye on quality and moderation, Davido revealed that he limits his performances to no more than four shows a month.

This deliberate choice ensures that each performance is a monumental event, both for him and his eager audiences.

“I mean now shows are $600,000. Now it is less. Actually. Because fewer people can pay. If I do four shows in a month, $2 million, $3 million,” he confidently stated, highlighting the remarkable financial success he now enjoys through his music career.

Davido’s musical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. His latest album, ‘Timeless,’ soared to the 37th spot on the prestigious United States Billboard 200 chart, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Additionally, ‘Timeless’ achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing one billion streams across major music platforms on August 3.

This exceptional album is Davido’s fourth project, following ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012), ‘A Good Time’ (2019), and ‘A Better Time’ (2020).

His global impact was vividly demonstrated when he graced the stage at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, captivating audiences worldwide with his musical prowess.

On August 29, Davido continued to shine on the international stage, delivering a thrilling performance at the 50th Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Awards ceremony in Manchester, UK. With each show, Davido cements his status as a true music icon, both in Nigeria and on the global stage.
