Leaders of Muslims community in Delta state has called on Christians and Muslims community across the state and Nigeria to formulate policies that will assist the government to better the country.
The leaders made the call at their separate places of worship in celebration of the 2023 Sallah in Asaba.
Speaking to newsmen Dr. Adekola Yunusa Adekunle, chief Imam, Federal College of Education, (Technical) central mosque Asaba, explained that the Eidel-kabir celebration is a time to show loyalty to God and a lesson learned from their fathers.
He added that “if we have faith, and loyalty, there is nothing that we want from God that He cannot give” stressing that loyalty, faithfulness and sincerity pays a lot”.
He noted that if the country is good, it is good for all and who it is bad, it also means it will be bad for all, adding, that it behooves on both Christians and Muslims to use their tenets to formulate policies that will assist the country to grow for the better.
He, however, advised Nigerians to pray for the country and leaders and follow the tenets of interface, especially in Nigeria and Delta state.
Also spoke to newsmen, the chief Imam of Yoruba central mosque Asaba, Alhaji Usman Ayokule said Nigerians should to be patient and have hope, saying whatever the challenges is that with faith it will be surmounted.
He called on Federal government to do something to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.
