Controversial British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has given his verdict on Arsenal defender William Saliba’s red card against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Saliba was sent off after a VAR check in Arsenal’s Premier League 2-0 defeat against Bournemouth.
Referee Rob Jones initially showed the France international a yellow card after he brought down Evanilson.
But Jones was asked to review the incident on the pitchside monitor by VAR and eventually upgraded it to a red card.
Reacting, Morgan, a die-hard Arsenal fan, branded the referee’s decision as an absolute joke.
“Another ridiculous red card against Arsenal. That was an absolute joke. #saliba,” Morgan wrote on X.
Saliba will now miss Arsenal’s next Premier League match against Liverpool next weekend.
