EPL: He’ll not fix your problems – Petit warns Man Utd fans over summer signing

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit has warned Manchester United fans that their summer signing Manuel Ugarte will not fix all their problems in the midfield.

Ugarte joined Man United from Paris Saint-Germain for an initial fee of £42.2 million.

He made his first start for the Red Devils on Tuesday as they defeated Barnsley 7-0 in the League Cup.

“I’m sorry to say this, Manchester United fans, but Manuel Ugarte is not going to fix all of your midfield problems,” Petit told topoffshoresportsbooks.

“I watched him at PSG. He started the season in the starting eleven at the beginning of the season, but after the club were demolished by Newcastle United in the Champions League, losing 4-1 at St. James’ Park, Ugarte wasn’t seen again! He completely disappeared from Luis Enrique’s first team.

“He will give 100% on the pitch. He will bring energy. He will bring aggression. He will bring sometimes the balance that is needed in midfield, especially when Manchester United lose the ball.”
