EPL: He’s better than Havertz – Pennant advises Arsenal on striker to sign

Former Arsenal winger Jermaine Pennant has urged the Gunners to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.

Pennant said Isak is better than Kai Havertz, adding that the Swedish striker would fit Mikel Arteta’s side.

Isak was linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea in the past.

His contract with Newcastle will expire in June, 2028.

Speaking recently to Tribal Football, Pennant said about Isak: “He’s prolific, he knows the back of the net, when he’s match-fit. I think all-round he is probably better than Havertz, though they are similar players in style.

“I just just think he acts a little bit quicker and better around the box and I think he will fit in just like a glove at Arsenal.”
