Former Sky Sports presenter, Jeff Stelling has tipped former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard to coach West Ham United should the Hammers part ways with Julen Lopetegui.
Lopetegui has been under pressure to save his job at West Ham due to the club’s poor start this term.
West Ham currently sit in 14th position in the Premier League table following their recent 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.
West Ham’s owners have reportedly warned Lopetegui he will be sacked unless performances and results improve.
When asked about West Ham’s struggles and potential replacements for Lopetegui, Stelling said on talkSPORT: “I’m going to mention someone who might divide opinions.
“Is it time, if Lopetegui goes, for West Ham to bring Frank Lampard home? Just a thought. He’s available.”
Lampard has been out of work since his tenure as Chelsea interim manager ended in the 2022-2023 season.
