EPL: Silly comparison – Jordan questions Rio Ferdinand’s stance over departing Man Utd star

Former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan, has questioned Rio Ferdinand’s stance over midfielder Scott McTominay’s sale by asking what the club’s DNA currently is.

Jordan also laughed off Ferdinand’s claim, saying the current Man United squad can’t be compared to that of his time.

Recall that McTominay is closing in on a £25.4 million move to Serie A side Napoli and Ferdinand was upset with the news.

“It’s a silly comparison, comparing the Manchester United squad that Ferdinand played in that had the ability to win things, had the culture and the squad, and comparing it to a team that hasn’t won the Premier League for a decade is a false comparison,” Jordan told talkSPORT.

“Scott McTominay is alright. I mean what’s the DNA of Manchester United right now because it damn sure isn’t winning, is it? Right now?”
