Opta SuperComputer has said Liverpool now have a bigger chance of challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.

This follows Arsenal’s shock 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Gunners have twice finished runners-up behind City in successive years and are attempting to finally clinch the title this season but now face a serious threat from Liverpool.

Arne Slot’s men sit top of the table, one point ahead of the champions and also increased their gap over third-place Arsenal to four points – which could be made seven when the two rivals meet on Sunday.

After the games, Opta’s supercomputer revealed the new odds of lifting the title come May.

    Supercomputer title predictions:

    Man City (75.5%)

    Liverpool (13%)

    Arsenal (11.3%)
