Classic announced his defection on Thursday after meeting with the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani and the Chairman, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari Political Organization, Alhaji Lawal M Liman, as well as other Zamfara APC stakeholders in Kaduna.

According to the former lawmaker, who represented Anka/Talata Mafara Federal Constituency between 2019 and 2023, under the umbrella of the PDP, he defected along with the PDP structure in Talata Mafara Local Government Area, including the PDP LG Executives and 10 out of 11 PDP Ward chairmen in Talata Mafara LGA.

The former lawmaker said that he defected from the PDP because there is no justice and fairness in Zamfara PDP.

“I am defecting with all PDP structures in Talata Mafara Local Government Area, including the Local Government EXCO of the PDP and the 10 out of 11 Ward chairmen of the PDP,” he said.

Receiving the ex-lawmaker, the State APC Chairman, Tukur Umar Danfulani described his defection as a welcome development to the APC.

“We are happy to receive our brother in our great party, this is a great development.

“More defectors from the PDP-led Government in Zamfara ready to join the APC very soon

“We assure Classic and all the defectors of fair treatment in APC”, Danfulani stated.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Sen Yari’s Political Organization, Alhaji Lawal M Liman commended Classic and other defectors for joining the progressive team.
