Flying Eagles head coach, Aliyu Zubairu has revealed foreign-based players will get the chance to fight for a place in the team ahead of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
Zubairu’s side earned a berth at the competition after lifting the title at the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo last month
The Flying Eagles defeated the Black Satellites of Ghana 2-1 in the final.
The gaffer selected only local players for the competition.
Zubairu has however acknowledged the interest from eligible players outside Nigeria.
“We will not hinder their participation and are committed to selecting those with the necessary skills,” he said during a meeting with members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter, in Ilorin.
