    Born 50 years ago in Igbogila, Yewa North, Ogun State, Adaradenu has dedicated his life to the art of Fuji music, a passion that has seen him produce an impressive 19 records and perform live at more than 500 shows.

    Since his career began 35 years ago, Adaradenu, has contributed to the Fuji genre with albums like Narration, Journey, SIM Card, Deshika, Authentic, Fujitide, Barry Message, Adabi, Skyrocket, London Vibes, among others.

    His musical journey has not only captivated local audiences but also garnered him international acclaim, earning him recognition as one of Africa’s leading performance artists.

    Jamaica’s educational journey reflects his drive and ambition, with a primary school education followed by secondary schooling and a Bachelor’s degree from Lagos State University (LASU).

    His educational background has complemented his artistic prowess, enabling him to navigate the entertainment industry with acumen and resilience.

    Jamaica’s career has been influenced by deep connections within the entertainment industry.


    He shared a strong relationship with the late Fuji music legend, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, and has maintained ties with notable figures such as Senator Olamilekan Yayi, K1 the Ultimate, Chief Shefiu Alao, Saheed Osupa, Alabi Pasuma, Alao Malaika, and Ibrahim Dende.

    Beyond the music scene, Jamaica’s influence reaches into the royal circles of Nigeria.

    He maintains close relationships with revered traditional leaders, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja II; the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle; and other notable royals such as Oba Abdul-Azeez Adelakun Ishola, the Alaye of Ayetoro,  Oba Abayomi Salako, the Aboro of Iboro, Oba Rotimi Oluwaseyi Mulero,  Aboro of ibese and Oba Lukumon Olamilekan Kuoye Olu of Imasayi.

    Jamaica’s connection to these traditional leaders shows his deep cultural roots and his commitment to preserving and promoting Nigerian heritage through his music.

    His travels have spanned across Africa, including Hajj pilgrimages to Mecca in 2005 and annual Umrah pilgrimages since 2006.

    He has also toured extensively in Europe, particularly in the United Kingdom, with performances in London, Birmingham, and other cities.

    His journey to the UK was initially facilitated by Queen Modupeola Arowosola of B and S Promotion, who organized his first London tour.

    His time in Europe culminated in a performance at Buckingham Palace, cementing his place as a global ambassador of Nigerian music and culture.

    In addition to his performances, Jamaica also participated in the popular Kunle Afod Proverbs Challenge, alongside well-known Nollywood and Hollywood actors, showcasing his versatility as an artist and his commitment to Nigeria’s storytelling traditions.

    Jamaica’s remarkable contributions to music and culture have earned him numerous accolades.

    His media adviser, Jeleel Angel Ajayi, has highlighted his extensive media connections, resulting in his recent award as “Africa’s Most Outstanding Performance Artiste of 2024” by Alhaji Olumegbon Lateef Amuludun in Accra, Ghana.


    This prestigious title recognizes Jamaica’s efforts to unite African audiences through his music while promoting messages of democracy, unity, and national progress.

    Following his successful tour in Europe, Jamaica received a grand homecoming celebration in various Nigerian cities, including Abeokuta, Ota, Imasayi, Ibadan, Inisa, and Idanre.
