    ‘He led military at peak of Nigeria’s security challenges’ – Shehu Sani mourns COAS Lagbaja

    Former federal lawmaker Senator Shehu Sani has expressed sadness over the death of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

    DAILY POST recalls that the presidency on Wednesday morning confirmed the death of the army chief, who has been away for a while due to an undisclosed ailment.

    Reacting, Shehu Sani in a post on X, recalled how Lagbaja led the military at the peak of the nation’s security challenges.

    He wrote, “General Lagbaja died in active service. His leadership and service to his country are well appreciated.




    “He led the military at the peak of the nation’s security challenges and exited with verifiable accomplishments.

    “Every soul shall experience death on the time appointed by our creator. May his soul rest in peace.”
