I Am Not Normal, Yet I Have 30 Mansions – Portable

Afrobeats sensation Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry by proudly asserting his millionaire status and ownership of a staggering 30 residences discreetly scattered across Lagos and Ogun states.

The ‘Zazu’ singer, often at the center of controversy, recently opened up about his substantial wealth during a candid conversation on the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope Olajide.

Emphasizing not only his affluence but also his commitment to philanthropy, Portable expressed a belief that his generosity toward the less fortunate contributes significantly to his burgeoning wealth.

The artist, who has built a reputation for his raw lyricism and unfiltered persona, shared insights into his philanthropic endeavours, stating, “I’m a superstar, man of the people. People come to me for aid, and I have to give them because the more I give them, the more I blow.”

In an unexpected turn, Portable delved into the financial landscape of the music industry, drawing a provocative analogy between music earnings and a form of lucrative financial gain akin to money rituals.

The artist confidently declared, “I’m not normal but I get 30 mansions.” Shedding light on the strategic nature of his investments, Portable revealed, “I have houses in Abule-Egba, Ikeja, Sango-Otta, and Abeokuta.

“I just bought the houses down because of tomorrow. Nobody knows that I’m the owner of those houses.”

The artist’s claims of superior wealth compared to industry counterparts added another layer of controversy to the narrative, with Portable suggesting that some artists may be projecting fake lifestyles on social media.

This bold assertion has ignited discussions within the music community, prompting reflection on the blurred lines between authenticity and image cultivation in the era of social media dominance.

As Portable’s bold declarations continue to reverberate through the industry, fans and critics alike are left pondering the unconventional path to success taken by the Afrobeats maverick.

“I Am Not Normal, Yet I Have 30 Mansions” stands as a headline that encapsulates the audacity and extravagance of Portable’s extraordinary journey in the world of music and wealth.
