IGP mourns Akwa-Ibom State First Lady

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has extended his condolences to Governor Umo Bassey Eno of Akwa-Ibom State over the passing of his wife, Patience Umo Eno.

DAILY POST reports that the First Lady died on Thursday, September 26, 2024, after an undisclosed ailment.

Reacting, the IGP in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said “This profound loss is deeply felt by her family, the entire Nigerian state particularly the people of Akwa-Ibom state In this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Governor Umo and his family. May Almighty God grant them solace and strength to bear this irreparable loss.

IGP Egbetokun sympathized with Governor Umo and prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Eno’s soul.
