Governor Uba Sani’s greatest achievement in the last two years is in uniting the people and ushering in peace in Kaduna State and not just bridging infrastructural deficit and enhancing human capital.

The commendation was given by Ambassador Yusuf Mamman, a veteran journalist and Nigeria’s envoy to Spain in the 90s, in a press statement on Monday, as part of his assessment of Kaduna State since Governor Uba Sani assumed office.

Ambassador Mamman who is the proprietor of JKD 360 Television and Multimedia Services, equated the prevailing peace in Kaduna State to the second republic during the ‘’ideologically-driven administration of Alhaji Balarabe Musa.’’

The former envoy noted that Governor Uba Sani inherited a divided state where ‘’the people were spilt into two opposing ethno-religious lines that hardly agree on issues of governance.’’

According to him, the Governor has united the people of Kaduna State through a deliberate policy of inclusion and even development which has made ‘’the intermittent ethno-religious crises of the past, sad episodes of the state’s recent history.’’

Describing the Governor as a ‘’Man of Peace’’, the ex envoy said that Uba Sani’s governance style should be adopted as a model for Governors of states that are heterogenous and diverse.

Ambassador Mamman pointed out that the prevailing peace has enabled Governor Uba Sani to achieve ‘’so much in such a short time, in spite of a debt overhang.’’

‘’Without borrowing a single kobo, the Governor has revamped the health sector as the Primary Healthcare Centres are being upgraded to Level 2 status. Similarly, he has increased access to education by building 62 new schools and commissioned 25 roads across the three senatorial districts of Kaduna state.

‘’In fact, the Governor’s policies and programmes have expanded infrastructure and social sciences, stimulated economic growth and created jobs as well as improved human capital and quality of life across Kaduna State,’’ he added.

Ambassador Mamman further said that ‘’without doubt, Governor Uba Sani achieved this feat by being efficient and prudent in managing public finance,’’ adding that ‘’the citizens of Kaduna State should support this people-centred administration.’’
