Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has announced plans to reshuffle his cabinet to allow fresh blood who have what it takes to move the state progressively forward.

The Governor said the move is in fulfilment of his decision to drop members of his cabinet rated below the standard of performance set by his government

Confirming the receipt of the report of the committee on performance of cabinet members, Friday at the government house, the Governmor explained that public will soon see his next action.

The Governor refreshed public memory on the planned cabinet reshuffle, saying his government means to achieve desired results and earn the public confidence reposed on them.

He revealed that none of the present commissioners lobbied for the position, stressing that before their appointment, he considered experience, credibility and had consultations.

”What I expected from the commissioners is obedience to my humble self, to the NNPP and to the Kwankeasiyya Movement, in addition to dedication to duty and to come up with good initiatives for the development of the state”.

On poverty alleviation, the governor said that people of the state benefited with free foodstuffs distribution in the urban and rural areas to cushion the hardship being experienced as a result of removal of petroleum subsidy.

He assured that the gesture would be sustained to enable thousands of less privilege citizens meet their daily bread.

The governor further said KASCO company that provides fertiliser for teeming farmers is upgrading with a view of providing enough commodities for farmers to boost food production.
