    Man charged with alleged stealing of N3m wires, aluminum windows in Ekiti

    The police in Ekiti State have arraigned one Adebayo Adewale (24) at a Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly breaking into a house.

    The prosecutor, Inspector Bamikole Olasunkanmi, told the court that the defendant, with others at large, on May 22 at about 4am at Ikole-Ekiti entered into the house of one Akin Ajiboye and stole electrical wires and aluminum windows valued at N3 million.

    Inspector Olasunkanmi said the offence committed was punishable under Section 421, 322(a)(b), 302(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.

    Counsel to the defendant, Barrister Bewaji Tolulope, urged the court to admit his client to bail, the request, Magistrate A. H. Anoma, granted in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case till June 26, for hearing.
