The Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) has showered encomiums on former student of the institution, Dr. Oluwatoyin Madein who was appointed Accountant General of the Federation.

Madein’s appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari took effect from May 18, 2023.

Prior to her appointment, Madien was the director of finance and accounts in the office of the head of the civil service of the federation.

She replaced Sylva Okolieaboh, who was appointed as the acting accountant-general of the federation after the removal of Chukwuyere Anamekwe.

Madein studied Accountancy at the then OgunPoly (Now MAPOLY) in 1982 and graduated with Higher National Diploma in 1988.

The Rector, Dr Adeoye Odedeji in a congratulatory message described Madein as a worthy Ambassador of the Polytechnic and a good reference to the upcoming generation.

Odedeji visited the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation to deliver the Congratulatory letter on behalf of the Polytechnic in company of the Bursar Fatai Yekinni.

The Rector said Madein’s appointment is “a testimony to hard work, faithfulness, contentment and integrity which is the core values of the profession which you chose to study when you applied as student of Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta).”

“Your tenacity to uphold the qualities of a good upbringing, not only to promote where you are coming from but to protect and project your source, which has distinguished you and has written your name in gold,” Odedeji added.
