The management of Media Trust Group (MTG) has expressed condolences to the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Trust newspapers, Malam Hamza Idris, following the death of his mother, Hajiya Rabi Idris, who passed away on Monday in Kano.

Regional Managers of MTG’s Kano and Kaduna offices, Shamsuddeen Sani Husseini and Yusuf Jidda, led staff to the deceased’s residence to offer sympathies.

In a condolence letter signed by the Executive Director, Corporate and Management Services, Hajiya Hadiza Bala, the company prayed for Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus and give the family the strength to bear the loss.

Similarly, Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, extended his condolences, describing the late Hajiya Rabi Idris as a woman of virtue whose nurturing values greatly shaped her children’s character and success.

“Her death is a great loss not only to her immediate family but to the entire Ummah, considering her role in raising individuals who have gone on to impact society positively,” the governor said in a statement by his spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

The governor, on behalf of the people and government of Kano State, prayed for Allah to reward her good deeds, grant her a place among the righteous, and give the bereaved family strength and patience to bear the loss.

The late Hajiya Rabi Idris was buried on Monday at Wali Mai Geza Cemetery in Kofar Mazugal.
