NECO Introduces Stringent Measures to Combat Exam Malpractice In 2023 SSCE

 

In a resolute effort to eliminate the persistent challenge of examination malpractice, Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar/Chief Executive of the National Examination Council (NECO), has revealed an array of comprehensive measures instituted to combat malpractices in the ongoing 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for external candidates.

The Acting Director of Information and Digital Communication at NECO, Azeez Sani, conveyed this message through a compelling statement, urging the 74,819 candidates currently undertaking the exams to eschew any form of malpractice.

“The Registrar, engaged in nationwide monitoring of the examination, has meticulously implemented necessary measures to ensure the seamless conduct of the examination,” stated the release.

Reports streaming in from diverse examination centers nationwide have indicated a smooth and efficient progression of the examination, a testament to the efficacy of the measures implemented by NECO.

The 2023 SSCE External commenced on Monday, 20th November 2023, and is slated to conclude on 20th December 2023.

Over the course of this period, the 74,819 candidates will be assessed in 29 different subjects, marking a pivotal moment in their academic journey.

NECO remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the integrity of examinations and fostering an environment conducive to fair and unbiased assessments.

The stringent measures enacted are poised to not only deter malpractices but also fortify the credibility and authenticity of the examination process.

As the nation focuses on the educational progress of its youth, NECO’s proactive approach marks a significant stride towards ensuring a level playing field for all candidates involved in the 2023 SSCE External.
