In a recent development, the National Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance System (NEMSAS) and the Osun State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulance Services System (OSEMSAS) have extended their commendation to the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital in Osogbo for its exceptional emergency services.

Hon. Disu Waidi, the Chairman of OSEMSAS, expressed appreciation during a joint visit with NEMSAS to the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Peter Babatunde Olaitan. He praised the hospital for its swift response in providing emergency care to those in need.

Highlighting the significance of the hospital’s contributions, Hon. Disu stated, “The agency appreciates the healthcare provision, especially in the area of emergency care services.”

Dr. Pere Emuren, Head of Operations, NEMSAS, conveyed the national level’s satisfaction with the hospital’s healthcare service delivery.

He emphasized that the operations and facilities at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency unit instill confidence in the NEMSAS team.

Responding to the accolades, Prof. Peter Babatunde Olaitan, the Chief Medical Director, shared a core principle of the Emergency Unit: “Nobody should be denied medical care for no reason.”

He also revealed the hospital’s intention to introduce residency training in emergency care, underlining their commitment to advancing medical services.
