A  30-year-old Nigerian pilgrim delivered a baby boy named Mohammed at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Makkah.

This hospital operates under the Makkah Health Cluster, a key health service provider in the region.

The birth, which occurred on Monday, marks the first delivery of a pilgrim during the 2024 Hajj exercise.

The pilgrim, who was in her 31st week of pregnancy, experienced labor pains and was swiftly admitted to the hospital’s emergency department.

The medical team promptly attended to her needs and transferred her to the maternity ward, where she successfully delivered her baby through natural childbirth.

Despite being born prematurely, the baby boy is receiving special care and both mother and child are reported to be in good health.

The mother expressed her profound gratitude to the medical staff for their exceptional care and support during this critical time.

The Makkah Health Cluster has emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive medical services to pilgrims during the Hajj, ensuring that any health emergencies are promptly and effectively managed.

This event highlights the Cluster’s dedication to offering high-quality medical care, even under the challenging conditions of such a large-scale religious gathering.

The news of the birth has been met with joy and celebration among fellow pilgrims and the wider Nigerian community.

This miraculous event during the Hajj pilgrimage underscores the resilience and commitment of the medical teams in Makkah, as well as the enduring spirit of the pilgrims
