NPFL: Abdallah reflects on Kano Pillars’ win over Ikorodu City

Kano Pillars Technical Adviser, Usman Abdallah, has admitted that playing their home matches outside the Sani Abacha Stadium is not good for the team.

The Sai Masu Gida have adopted the Muhammad Dikko Stadium as their temporary home ground for the 2024-25 season following the renovation work ongoing at their home ground.

Pillars opened their campaign with a 3-0 bashing of newly promoted Ikorodu City on Sunday.

Abdallah praised his players for their spirited performance.

“It’s the beginning of the season, and we have some players that are not yet fully fit, but I have to commend the team for putting up such a spirited performance,” Abdallah told Kano Pillars media.

“Playing our first home match of the season away from home on a neutral ground is never easy, but the boys showed great resilience.”
