Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Ali Ishiaku has expressed optimism in his team’s ability to bounce back after their home loss to Heartland.

The Umuahia-based club suffered a 2-0 defeat to Heartland in a matchday 10 fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.

Ishiaku urged his teammates not to dwell on the result and focus on the next league game.

“Obviously, it’s not the result we wanted,” Ishaku told Abia Warriors media.

“But we can’t dwell on it. We have to pick ourselves up and look forward to the next game.”

Abia Warriors dropped to ninth position on the league table with 14 points.

Imama Amapakabo’s side will battle with Lobi Stars in a week 11 fixture at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday.
