    NPFL: Rivers United maintain unbeaten run, Remo Stars fall in Jos

    Rivers United extended their unbeaten streak to seven games after dispatching Shooting Stars 2-0 in Port Harcourt on Thursday.

    The first 45 minutes failed to produce a goal, with both teams failing to convert their chances.

    Rivers United, however, took the lead in the 51st minute through Aniekeme Okon, while Ndifreke Effiong doubled the advantage 14 minutes from time.

    Finidi George’s side moved to the summit following the win.




    Remo Stars dropped to second position following a 3-1 defeat to Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium.

    Ebuka Anthony bagged a brace for Plateau United, while Abubakar Adamu scored the other goal.

    Remo Stars got their goal through substitute Jabar Malik.
