The regulatory authority for university education in Nigeria has conferred full accreditation on a suite of academic offerings at Summit University in Offa, Kwara State.
Following a rigorous evaluation conducted by panels from the National Universities Commission (NUC), six undergraduate programmes were granted full accreditation status for a five-year period.
The accredited programmes include Microbiology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, and Political Science.

The institution is owned by the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria.
Reacting to the milestone, the Ansar-ud-Deen Society’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Sola Hassan, in a statement, hailed the university’s academic growth and commitment to excellence.
He noted that the latest NUC endorsement is a testament to the university’s sustained efforts in promoting quality learning anchored in moral and intellectual integrity.
“This landmark affirms the university’s robust academic foundation, the competence of its teaching personnel, and the quality of infrastructure available to support learning and research,” Dr. Hassan stated.
He further encouraged candidates seeking university admission for the 2025/2026 academic year to explore the unique value Summit University offers, especially its innovative pedagogical model tagged the 7 Transformative Skills Framework.
The framework, according to him, equips students with practical competencies in fields like Artificial Intelligence, Financial Literacy, Renewable Energy, Global Citizenship, and a new concept called Acadopreneurship.
Beyond academics, the university also runs a scholarship scheme aimed at easing financial constraints for high-achieving students, the statement added.
The Ansar-ud-Deen Society said graduates of the institution will emerge as agents of positive change, driven by knowledge, values, and a futuristic mindset.
