    Ogun Govt.Confirms 321 New Medical, Health Personnel

    In a significant boost to the healthcare sector, the Ogun State Government has officially confirmed the appointment of 321 medical and health personnel who were recruited by the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board (HMB) over the past two years.

    These appointments aim to reinforce the state’s existing healthcare workforce.

    The Permanent Secretary of the Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Yinka Elemide, disclosed this during a confirmation ceremony held at the Board’s Conference Room in Abeokuta. 

    The Information Officer, Hospitals Management Board, Femi Osipitan,disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

    Osipitan said of the newly confirmed personnel, 174 belong to the senior staff cadre, while 147 are in the junior staff cadre. This diverse group of professionals is poised to deliver efficient healthcare services to the people of Ogun State.

    According to him,the Permanent Secretary, represented by Mr. Olumuyiwa Ojo, the Director of Administration and Supplies of the Board, highlighted that all the officers being considered for confirmation had served for more than two years and received four progress evaluation reports without any adverse feedback.

    After the confirmation exercise, Dr. Adegeye Eweje and Dr. Omowunmi Moibi, both from General Hospital, Ikenne, expressed their gratitude to the government for recognizing their contributions to the state’s healthcare system. 

    They emphasized their commitment to fulfilling their roles in meeting the health needs of the people.

    Registered nurse Mrs. Ayomikun Egbetayo also expressed her appreciation to the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government and the leadership of the Board for conducting a seamless confirmation exercise. 

    She noted that this confirmation would serve as motivation for her to continue providing exceptional care to patients.

    This confirmation of over 300 medical and health personnel marks a significant step toward enhancing healthcare services in Ogun State, ultimately benefiting its residents.
