The Ogun State government has taken proactive steps to address and resolve challenges faced by business owners in the registration process for the Business Premises Permit (BPP).

Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Adebola Sofela, delivered this message in Abeokuta following his comprehensive tour of agencies under the Ministry’s supervision.

During the visit to key entities such as Ogun State Agricultural and Multipurpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA), Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), and the Technology Incubation Centre, Onijanganjangan, as well as the Ministry’s Zonal Offices at Onijanganjangan and Oke-Ilewo, Commissioner Sofela outlined the successful resolution of challenges that previously affected the BPP portal.

This breakthrough ensures a streamlined and efficient registration process.

Accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs. Oluyemisi Dawodu, and other high-ranking officials, Commissioner Sofela emphasized the operational status of the portal, accessible via businesspermit.ogunstate.gov.ng.

He urged businesses operating in Ogun State to capitalise on the now-optimised portal, facilitating hassle-free registration and accurate fee payments to the state government.

“The Business Premises Permit registration portal has been optimized. We encourage business men and women to register and pay the right fees promptly.

This is part of their social responsibility as corporate citizens, contributing to the State’s revenue generation and infrastructure development,” affirmed the Commissioner.

To ensure a seamless experience, Commissioner Sofela revealed that the Ministry has significantly increased technological support and established a 24/7 monitoring system for the portal.

He reassured citizens that past challenges are now addressed, promising a glitch-free process for business owners.

Speaking on the visit to the Technology Incubation Centre, Onijanganjangan, Commissioner Sofela applauded the efforts of incubatees in product development.

He urged aspiring entrepreneurs to leverage the shared facilities and technical support available at the incubation center to initiate and grow their businesses.

During his engagement at the two Zonal Offices, Commissioner Sofela called on Ministry staffers to redouble their efforts, contributing to the realization of the set goals under the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration.

He challenged officers to surpass past achievements, emphasizing their crucial role in the state’s economic development.

With these decisive measures, the Ogun State government aims to foster a conducive business environment, supporting the growth of enterprises and contributing to the overall prosperity of the State.

Business owners are urged to act promptly, taking advantage of the optimized BPP portal for efficient registration and compliance with regulatory requirements.
