    Ogun Tech Community Engages Minister To Boost Innovation In Ogun

    The Ogun Tech Community,has initiated a collaborative effort with the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani in a strategic move to propel technological advancement and innovation in Ogun State.

    This pivotal engagement unfolded during the inauguration ceremony of the Library, Administrative Block, and Community ICT Centre at the New Abeokuta City Hall Complex.

    The event marked a significant milestone in Ogun State’s technology ecosystem, underscoring OTC’s commitment to harnessing digital transformation for economic prosperity.

    President of OTC, Adekunle Durosinmi, commended Dr. Tijani for his visionary leadership and impactful initiatives, notably the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program and expansive digital infrastructure projects.

    Durosinmi highlighted the alignment of these initiatives with OTC’s mission to empower Nigerian youth through technology.

    “The Ogun Tech Community continues to spearhead numerous technology-driven projects,” Adekunle stated, citing initiatives such as Edutams, Konnect, TacBay, Ashiri, Women Initiative for Digital Literacy, AI for Educators by TedPrime, and Ogun Roundtable Connect.

    These initiatives underscore Ogun State’s burgeoning role in the digital economy.

    Looking ahead, OTC is preparing for Ogun Tech Connect: Empowering Startups and Ecosystem Builders, an upcoming event aimed at equipping startups and entrepreneurs with essential resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities crucial for scaling innovations.

    “With the inauguration of these new facilities OTC envisions fresh opportunities to bridge the digital divide, expand literacy programs, and stimulate economic growth,” Adekunle remarked.

    The organization has issued a call to action for government bodies, private sector entities, and tech communities to collaborate in positioning Ogun State as a premier technology hub.

    President Adekunle emphasized Ogun State’s ascent as a powerhouse of technology and innovation, stressing that continued collaboration between OTC and key stakeholders will be pivotal in shaping a future driven by digital transformation.

    The engagement between OTC and Minister Tijani signals a promising stride towards bolstering Ogun State’s position as a dynamic hub for technological advancement, promising economic growth through digital innovation.
