In a startling development, the Ondo State Police Command confirmed the apprehension of a man identified as Franklin Akinyosoye, a photographer, who was found in possession of a human skull within Ondo town, Ondo State.

The incident unfolded on Sunday in the Elewuro area of the community.

The 26-year-old suspect, Franklin Akinyosoye, was discovered to have kept the human skull concealed within a bag in a corner of his residence.

His landlord’s curiosity was piqued by the suspicious bag, prompting him to insist on inspecting its contents.

To the landlord’s astonishment, upon opening the bag, a human skull was exposed, leading to the immediate arrest of the young photographer.

Upon investigation, Franklin Akinyosoye reportedly admitted to acquiring the macabre item from a herbalist based in Osun State.

According to the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami,”he claimed it was given to him by a native doctor in Osun State to enhance his business.”

The police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter, and Franklin Akinyosoye remains in police custody as the inquiry progresses.

Furthermore, reports from the area have revealed that the discovery of the human skull was made by a group of teenagers, the children of the suspect’s landlord.

The teenagers stumbled upon a black sack containing the human skull within their compound.

Alarmed by their discovery, they promptly informed their father, who then reported the unsettling incident to the local police station.

Subsequent searches of Franklin Akinyosoye’s residence by the police unveiled a disturbing array of items, including various human parts and objects suspected to be charms, as well as human blood.

In a surprising twist, the suspect took responsibility for all the items, dissociating the landlord from any involvement.

The investigation has led to revelations that Franklin Akinyosoye sourced these items from a herbalist residing in Ikirun, within the Ifelodun local government area of Osun State.

As the investigation unfolds, the local community remains captivated by the shocking turn of events and awaits further updates from the authorities.
