Popular Imam Leads Prayer Gathering for Victory As Kano Awaits Tribunal Verdict

In the midst of anticipation for the verdict of the Governorship Tribunal in Kano, a prominent figure, Imam Sheikh Sani Hashir, took the lead in a prayer session for success.

On Saturday, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), and other notable figures joined in the prayers for triumph.

The prayer assembly, held at Filin Mahaha opposite Kofar Naisa along BUK Road in Kano, saw the participation of Dr. Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, Secretary to the State Government, members of the Kano State Executive Council, and numerous NNPP supporters.

This spiritual gathering unfolded against the backdrop of controversies surrounding an alleged attempt to bribe members of the Kano governorship election petition tribunal.

The NNPP, the ruling party in the state, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) exchanged accusations and counter-accusations over this alleged bribery scheme.

During the prayer session, Sheikh Hashir implored for victory, peace, prosperity, and justice in Kano and Nigeria as a whole.

He also prayed against any efforts to undermine the people’s mandate and for the protection of leaders elected with divine guidance.

Sheikh Hashir’s words echoed through the gathering: “Oh Allah, thwart the schemes of those seeking to subvert our state and its leadership. In Your name, confound and overcome these adversaries.”

The Imam’s prayers extended beyond political concerns to express gratitude for blessings bestowed upon the community, state, and nation.

The progress and development achieved under the leadership of Kano’s current administrators were also acknowledged in the prayers.

As the attendees joined in asking for blessings upon leaders, businesses, and educational institutions, the unity of the gathering reflected a shared hope for a brighter future.

Ultimately, the session closed with a reverent invocation: “May the peace and blessings of Allah rest upon our noble Prophet Muhammad. With humility, we seek forgiveness and offer thanks for the countless blessings that enrich our lives.”
