In a gesture of gratitude to God, Apostle (Dr.) John Lola Dada J.P., the General Overseer of Good Shepherd Evangelistic Ministry (Goshem Chapel), celebrated his 59th birthday by donating an array of food items to the less privileged.

The charitable event took place at the church branch in Unity Estate, Abeokuta.

The benevolent act saw the distribution of various essential food items, including rice, beans, garri, spaghetti, Maggi, bread, yam flour, cornflakes, vegetable oil, Chivita drinks, and more.

Apostle Dada expressed his motivation for the philanthropy, stating that reaching 59 years is a significant journey, prompting him to share love by providing essentials to those in need.

“I cook, people eat, and they forget. What everyone collected today, they can’t consume all at once.

The current state of the country demands that those who have should extend to those who don’t,” remarked Apostle Dada during an interview.

He acknowledged the support received from various individuals, including his father in the Lord, Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya, the Christian Association of Nigeria Chairman (Ogun-State chapter), Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka (G.N.I), and other contributors, both locally and internationally.

The celebrant’s wife, Pastor Mrs. Bolaji Dada, emphasized that the act of kindness was a testament to God’s faithfulness in her husband’s life.

Evangelist Adelayo Israel, a beneficiary, expressed delight in the timely assistance provided by the religious leader, emphasizing the positive impact on families in the current challenging situation in Nigeria.

Pastor Mrs. Ronke Adeyemo, a member of the planning committee, revealed that the charity aimed to address immediate needs and alleviate some burdens in the community.

Mrs. Adeyemo Olubukola, another beneficiary, praised the event, envisioning a better world if more people embraced such acts of kindness.

The consensus among beneficiaries echoed sentiments of joy, gratitude, and hope for a brighter future.

As the religious leader encourages a spirit of giving, the event serves as a reminder that compassion and support can make a significant difference, especially in challenging times.
