Senator Solomon Adeola, representing Ogun West and serving as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, has expressed his deep gratitude and enthusiasm following the Federal Executive Council’s (FEC) recent approval for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Abeokuta-Iboro-Ilaro Road.

This  development was announced by Senator Dave Umahi, the Minister of Works, after a Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday.

The contract, valued at N57 billion, has been awarded to Strabic Construction Company, marking a monumental investment in the infrastructure of Ogun West Senatorial District.

This road, crucial for connecting Abeokuta, the state capital, to Iboro and Ilaro, is poised to enhance economic activities in the region.

In his statement, Senator Adeola stressed  the importance of this project as a rare and substantial federal initiative in his district.

He highlighted that the Abeokuta-Iboro-Ilaro Road rehabilitation, coupled with the forthcoming Badagry-Sokoto Express Road passing through the district, signals a transformative period for Ogun West.

Senator Adeola lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his “Renewed Hope Agenda,” which he described as a pivotal aspect of the Federal Government’s infrastructure policy.

The senator emphasized that the road project would complement state government efforts under Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, such as the Ilaro-Owode Road and other local infrastructure developments facilitated in the past year.

“I want to specifically commend and appreciate our president, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his Renewed Hope Agenda for Nigeria,” Adeola stated.

“The approval of the Abeokuta-Iboro-Ilaro Road is a worthy and major aspect of the renewed hope infrastructure policy of the Federal Government.”

He assured that the collaboration between President Tinubu’s administration and Governor Abiodun would continue to drive the Renewed Hope Agenda forward.

Adeola also committed to further attracting infrastructural projects and empowering his constituents throughout Ogun West.
