Senator Idiat Adebule from Lagos West Senatorial District experienced an awkward moment on Tuesday, during the ministerial screening  when she was captured on camera dozing off.

Sen Adebule is a seasoned politician who previously served as the 15th deputy governor of Lagos State from 2015 to 2019 and became the sixth woman to hold the position as a senator.

It was gathered that in 2023, she transitioned to the role of Senator from Lagos West.

The incident quickly became widespread across various media platforms, sparking concerns about lawmakers’ engagement and diligence during essential proceedings.

Many citizens and political observers have expressed their disappointment, criticizing the senator for what they perceived as  lack of attentiveness to her duties.

As a representative of the significant constituency of Lagos West Senatorial District, Senator Adebule holds the responsibility of serving her constituents and the nation as a whole.

However, her apparent inattentiveness during the ministerial screening process has sparked debates about the seriousness and dedication of elected officials.

An Instagram user , ufomma wrote, “meanwhile, this senator has been sleeping since the screening started at about 1:30pm. She must have worked overnight “
