Ademola Lookman has showered encomium on his Atalanta teammates after their superlative display against Hellas Verona.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side thrashed the visitors 6-1 at the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday night.
Lookman, who was named Man of the Match, grabbed two goals and two assists in the game.
The Nigeria international said they delivered a top performance in the match.
“Another good performance from the team. First half was very, very good, we scored five goals and everyone was top,” Lookman told Sky Sport Italia.
The 27-year-old will now head to the Ballon d’or ceremony on Monday in style.
“It’s a massive moment for the club and also for me. A special, special moment. We made history last year, thanks to everyone, we continue to work hard and keep going,” he added.
