Super Eagles defender, Tanimu moves to League One club
English League One club, Crawley Town have signed Nigeria defender, Benjamin Tanimu on a permanent deal.
Tanimu joined Crawley Town from Tanzania Premier League club, Singida Black Stars.
The Red Devils paid $850,000 to secure his services.
The 22-year-old signed a two-year contract with the option of an additional year.
“Our club has entered into an agreement with the CRAWLEY TOWN FC club in the UK that participates in LEAGUE ONE to sell our Nigerian player BENJAMIN TANIMU,” Singida Black Stars announced on Friday.
“The agreement, with a direct transfer fee (Direct Fee) and a Sell-on Fee of 20%, as well as fees for the quality and success of the player and the team for the next two seasons, is estimated at not less than $850,000.”
The former Bendel Insurance player has been capped three times by Nigeria.
