President Bola Tinubu on Friday gave a fiery charge to Nigerian soldiers battling insurgents and bandits, urging them to “reclaim every inch” of Nigerian territory from the grip of terrorists and criminal gangs.

Addressing frontline troops during a morale-boosting visit to a military base in Katsina, the Commander-in-Chief hailed the soldiers as gallant defenders of the nation’s sovereignty and freedom, pledging robust support to fortify their operations.

“I stand before you not just as your President, but as a fellow patriot, humbled by your bravery and unwavering commitment,” Tinubu said. “Every terrorist you neutralise, every village you secure, every inch of land you hold—is a victory for our country.”

The President, who has consistently made security a top priority, said the battle being fought in Katsina and other parts of the country is not just about geography, but the soul and future of Nigeria.

“Your resilience in the face of danger inspires the nation. The operations you are undertaking are battles for justice and for the safety of our children,” he added.

Amid rising attacks in the northwest and other troubled zones, Tinubu acknowledged the enormous challenges soldiers face, promising a fresh wave of investment in military hardware, intelligence and logistics.

“But beyond weapons, your welfare remains my top priority,” he assured. “Let the enemies of Nigeria know: their time is up.”

In a passionate call to arms, Tinubu asked the troops, “Are you ready? Are you committed to ending this insecurity once and for all? Let your resolve echo across every valley and forest in this country!”

The President’s visit comes as military operations intensify in Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna and parts of the northeast where insurgents and armed bandits have wreaked havoc for years.

Tinubu pledged unwavering presidential support, saying: “I will match your courage with action, investment and decisive leadership. Nigeria must win this war.”
