President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his commitment to advancing the infrastructure legacy of his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his leadership as a source of inspiration for Nigeria’s continued progress.
In a personally signed statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu extended heartfelt birthday wishes to Buhari on the occasion of his 82nd birthday, commending his years of dedicated service to the nation.
“As you celebrate this remarkable milestone in Daura, we reflect on your years of dedicated service and leadership, which have significantly shaped the course of our nation,” Tinubu stated.
Highlighting Buhari’s enduring contributions, Tinubu said, “Your steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s advancement and unity inspires many, and your enduring legacy continues to guide our nation’s journey towards prosperity and stability.”
The president further pledged to continue building on the foundation laid during Buhari’s administration, particularly in infrastructure development, which he described as a cornerstone of Nigeria’s progress.
“I will continue to build on the infrastructure legacy you bequeathed to our nation as the leader of our country’s first All Progressives Congress (APC) administration,” Tinubu affirmed.
He wished the former president continued good health, happiness, and fulfilment, adding, “On this special day, may you be surrounded by the love of your family and friends and continue to enjoy good health, happiness, and fulfilment in all your endeavours, now and in the future.”
Tinubu’s tribute underscores his administration’s alignment with Buhari’s policies, particularly in infrastructure development, which formed a significant part of the Buhari-led APC government’s agenda.
