Chelsea are willing to open the door for banished defender Trevoh Chalobah to return to the squad.

But this will only happen if Axel Disasi ends up joining for rivals Newcastle United this summer.

    The Athletic reports that

With just a few days left before the summer transfer window closes, the Blues are busy trying to wrap things up in the market.

Recent reports said Chalobah was excluded from the Chelsea’s squad for the pre-season this summer and barred from using the club’s facilities.

This was done as the Blues tried to offload the England player among others.

However, there have been some major developments around Stamford Bridge in recent days.

If the latest reports are anything to go by, the centre-back could make his way back into the Pensioners fold.

The Athletic reports that there is a real possibility that the player could stay put at Stamford Bridge this summer if the Blues end up selling Axel Disasi.

The versatile defender has struggled to get playing time at Chelsea in recent times.
