    Travellers stranded over deplorable condition of Ido-Eruwa road

    Hundreds of travellers and commuters plying the Ido-Eruwa road in Oyo State are currently stranded as a result of the deplorable condition of the road.

    DAILY POST reports that the road is the major route for travellers and commuters coming in and out of Ibadan and Ibarapa.

    Our correspondent reports that hundreds motorists and passengers were stranded on the road on Monday.

    It was learnt that some trucks plying the muddy road got stuck, preventing other vehicles from moving forward on the road.




    A traveller who bagged not to be named called on the state government to fix the road.

    “Ido-Eruwa road is impassable for motorists. The is road blocked by heavy duty vehicles which were stuck in the muddy road.

    “Commuters are stranded on the road. Workers in Ajumose Bus have been stranded for the past two hours without knowing what to do.

    “Government and appropriate agencies should come to the rescue please.

    “After All Saints Xemetery, after Ido Local Government,” he said.

    Our correspondent learnt that travellers are still stranded on the road as at the time of filing this report on Monday.
