Ogun CAN Leaders Bid Apostle Ademuyiwa Farewell

A solemn atmosphere enveloped the Chapel of Reconciliation in Abeokuta on Friday as the leadership of Christian Association of Nigeria in Ogun State  congregated to lay to rest the  revered General Overseer, Apostle Abiodun Ademuyiwa.

Apostle Ademuyiwa, the founder and lead Lecturer of the Leadership Training Institute, passed away unexpectedly on October 21, 2023.

The church and family, however, chose to wait until Friday, the 26th, to pay their final respects.

During the service, Apostle (Dr) John Oladejo, delivering a eulogy, expressed condolences to the grieving family and commended Apostle Ademuyiwa for living a fulfilled life.

The sermon, titled “The Two Ultimate Appointments,” echoed a topic Ademuyiwa had addressed in their annual conference, titled “The Lake of Fire.” Apostle Oladejo highlighted Ademuyiwa’s unwavering commitment to soul-winning.

“We gather to give glory to God for giving us a great gift and still taking it away from us…Having finished his assignment, God took him away. When he was on earth, he lived a good life, and his life is now serving as an example for all of us,” Apostle Oladejo remarked.

Acknowledging Pastor (Mrs) Rhoda Ademuyiwa’s significant role, he praised her for her unwavering support and care for her husband.

Apostle Oladejo emphasized the crucial partnership between them, stating, “There has been a great woman beside Apostle Ademuyiwa…All of these things we’ve mentioned might not be done without her. She is the one that made everything possible.”

In his closing remarks, Apostle Oladejo urged Christians to surrender their lives to Christ, emphasizing the inevitability of the two ultimate appointments: Death and Judgement.

He stressed the importance of being prepared to meet them with salvation through Jesus Christ.
