Victory Life Bible Church in Abeokuta became a sanctuary of reflection and gratitude on Sunday, as it hosted a thanksgiving service to honour the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Reverend Fola Achudume, fondly known as RFA.
The service, led by Apostle Lawrence Achudume, was a heartfelt tribute to a figure whose influence has deeply impacted her family, the church, and the wider community.
Reverend Foka Achudume died August 6,2024 and was buried August 22 at the Church premises.
The congregation, comprising worshippers and well-wishers, filled the church to capacity, united in their gratitude for Reverend Fola Achudume’s profound contributions.
Apostle Lawrence, delivering his message with deep emotion, thanked attendees for their support during the period of loss.
He stressed a core message of unwavering faith, stating, “God chooses who to make alive or not. It is nobody’s business what God does. Just follow Him, and you will see His faithfulness. If you want to live a good life or achieve greatness, just follow Him.”
Apostle Lawrence’s sermon resonated with a powerful theme: the importance of trusting and following God through all circumstances.
His passionate call to “follow Him” was a central focus of the service, urging congregants to anchor their lives in faith as Reverend Fola had exemplified.
“Ladies and gentlemen, I have proved this God to be faithful. Follow Him,” Apostle Lawrence proclaimed, encouraging all to experience God’s grace and live out their faith with unwavering conviction.
The service was marked by moments of joyful worship and musical celebration.
The church’s choristers, alongside guest artists, led the congregation in an exuberant display of praise.
The renowned Ayan Jesu traditional praise team lifted spirits with their harmonious melodies, while Lilian Nneji’s fervent ministration added a layer of reverence and celebration to the occasion.
As the church reverberated with songs of gratitude and hands were raised in praise, the congregation danced in tribute to Reverend Fola Achudume, celebrating her life and legacy.
Apostle Lawrence assured attendees that her legacy of faith and service would continue to inspire, affirming that with God, their own stories are destined for glory.
