An ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, Dr. Babatunde Adeyemo has reiterated his commitment to supporting and encouraging Nigerian youths who are engaged in worthy ventures towards advancing the growth and development of society and humanity.

Dr. Adeyemo who is the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a foremost Nigerian real estate firm, said he renders such support through leading by example in real estate business and also through Oko Opo Foundation, a not–for–profit charity that caters to the widows, their dependants, the less privileged and vulnerable members of the society.

The Realtor spoke on Sunday, October 29 at the Excellent Event Centre Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital during the installation of former Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Youths Affairs, Comrade Olamide Lawal, as the President of Rotary Club Of Oluomo Sunrise shortly after the Emerald Humanitarian Service Award 2023 was bestowed on him by the Club.

Citing himself as a reference point, Adeyemo said it is both possible and practicable for a Nigerian youth to succeed in any noble cause in the country without harming oneself, or others or cutting corners and engaging in irregularities, recalling that with just a meagre amount of money, he ventured into real estate business in less than 15 years ago and has today made a success story of it.

He harped on integrity, honesty, patience, diligence, perseverance, delayed gratification, and quality service delivery as salient attributes one needs to imbibe to succeed not only in the real estate business but also in life generally.

The awardee appealed to Nigerian youths to make integrity, patience, perseverance, diligence, and trustworthiness their companions if they aspired to succeed in business and in any other worthy endeavours.

Others who were also honoured with awards include a young politician and State House of Assembly aspirant during the last general elections in the state, Solomon Enilolobo, and a public servant, Mr. Obayemi Ayodele, who is a product of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Oyedele–Salako, an engineer; the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Motunrayo Oladapo–Adeleye, the Aboro of Ibeseland, Oba Rotimi Mulero, Senator Lanre Tejuoso among other eminent personalities graced the ceremony.

The Pelican Valley CEO who commended the Rotary Club and the newly installed President, Olamide Lawal for the award, promised to support and encourage them in any of their societal and humanity uplifting projects.

Dr. Adeyemo, an anti-corruption ambassador also seized the occasion to hint the gathering about is zeal to take the crusade and message of hope to the Nigerian youths all over the world especially during the forthcoming Canada Trade Mission ’24 slated for Canada next year.
