Former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, raised eyebrows as he showcased an unexpected display of calmness during the Wednesday Islamic public holiday.

In a video that has since gone viral, Wike was seen personally preparing a meal for his political friends, a stark contrast to his usually assertive political demeanor.

Wike, a prominent figure in the PDP who now holds a ministerial position under the APC, in the video not only left many netizens astonished but also sparked intriguing commentary.

Two standout comments read, “This is the most peaceful I’ve ever seen Wike” and “Is he cooking some wickedness?”

These remarks shed light on Wike’s history of political assertiveness, raising questions about the true intentions behind his sudden display of peace.

Notably, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, was among the attendees at this unusual gathering.

Netizens took to social media to share their thoughts, with one user remarking, “As you grow and become successful, pray that your friends become successful too, so y’all can enjoy life as you age.”

Wike, who did not support his party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, during the last general election, showcased a different facet of himself at the Eid Maolid gathering, emphasizing unity and harmony during a holiday that celebrates Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.

In a time marked by intense political polarization, these contrasting viewpoints ignite discussions about the complexity of political figures like Wike and the motives behind their actions.
