A medical practitioner and humanitarian, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina, has provided free medical services to hundreds of residents in Ogun State, alongside distributing Ramadan palliatives to vulnerable households.
The outreach, which held on March 17 in Sagamu and March 18 in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, offered beneficiaries access to free medical consultations, basic laboratory tests, medications, and professional health advice.
Residents were also screened for common ailments such as hypertension, diabetes, and infectious diseases, while health workers sensitised participants on preventive healthcare practices.
As part of the initiative, Odusina also embarked on a media tour across radio, television, and online platforms, where she educated the public on key health issues and the need for healthier lifestyles.
During the media engagements, she announced her intention to contest the Ogun State governorship seat, pledging to address what she described as “abnormalities in governance” and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the less privileged.
In addition, food items and essential palliatives were distributed to families in need during the Ramadan period, with beneficiaries commending the intervention as timely and impactful.
Speaking on the initiative, Odusina said the outreach was part of her commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting vulnerable populations.
She added that efforts were underway to expand similar programmes to more communities across the state.
