As solution to unemployment in the country, the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo, has tasked governments at different levels and individuals to establish more vocational institutions.

The eminent Egba monarch spoke during the presentation of training tools to 69 students of the Peter Akinola Foundation, PAF Youth Centre For Industrial Training by their sponsors.

The sponsors which include Tunde Lemo Foundation, Josephus Foundation and Owo Diocese among others presented tools worth over N4 million.

PAF, a non-profit making organisation with a mission to help the youths to be economically empowered was founded in 2011 by the former Primate of All Nigeria (Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion), The Most Revd. Peter Jasper Akinola.

Oba Gbadebo during the presentation charged students of various higher institutions in the country to always strive for the best.

According to the traditional ruler, aiming for the best will help them achieve their goals early in life.

He charged the lucky students to make use of the trainibg tools for their betterment as well as for their community and the country at large

Oba Gbadebo expressed delight at the alumni of PAF and promised to continue to identify with the institution.

Director of the institution, Engr. Tunde Awolana, described PAF as a unique vocational centre that has trained thousands of students with technical skills since inception.

Chief Reuben Sogaolu, a member of the Tunde Lemo Foundation, who spoke on behalf of sponsors, expressed gratitude to God for making the presentation possible.

He disclosed that the sponsors are always proud of PAF’s students, promising that they would continue to do more for the vocational centre.

    END.
