A suspected thief, Aliu Salisu, has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun state for allegedly invading and stealing some people’s properties.
Salisu, who is a native of Sabo, Kano State, was arraigned on Tuesday, with six count charge against him.
He was accused of jumping over a fence into a mechanic workshop to commit felony on 19th of June, 2022, along with his group who are now at large.
He was also accused of stealing a N120,000 machine, and property of one Olabode Oludele.
Also, Salisu was said to have stolen a machine worth 150,000, which belongs to one Mumin Solomon.
On the same day, he was also accused of stealing two automobile batteries, which worth N60,000, a Micra brain box, a Micra key worth N12,000, which are properties of one Ibraheem Ajibola.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to these charges.
The defendant’s lawyer, Mercy M.I Otuaka, applied for the bail of the defendant, as she assured the court he’ll be available whenever the court needs him.
According to Otuaka, he has been granted bail because he hasn’t been found guilty, adding that he’ll be discharged till all charges against him have been disposed of.
The court therefore adjourned the case till the 5th of July for trial.
