The Federal High Court in Abuja has suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari bail in the amount of N150 million.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the charges against Kyari and his siblings, Mohammed Baba Kyari and Ali Kyari, involved allegations of failing to declare assets to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The NDLEA had filed a 24-count charge against them.
Justice James Omotosho granted the bail on Thursday, with certain conditions.
He said, Kyari is required to provide two sureties who possess property valued at N25 million each within the jurisdiction of the court. Additionally, among other conditions.
However, the judge emphasized that the endorsement of Kyari’s release warrant is contingent upon developments in a related case where he is being tried alongside four others for alleged involvement in illicit drug dealings.
Kyari’s two siblings were also granted bail by Justice Omotosho
