The Journalists International Forum For Migration (JIFORM) has unveiled an impressive roster of speakers set to engage at its upcoming 4th Global Migration Summit in Toronto, Canada.
Hosted by Abedorc Productions Inc Canada, the summit spans from October 2 to 14 and boasts a remarkable array of experts hailing from diverse nations.
Dr. Ajibola Abayomi, President of JIFORM, confirmed that this year’s summit, titled the 4th JIFORM Global Migration Summit, will be held at the esteemed Belmont Event Space in Etobicoke.
These distinguished speakers have enthusiastically agreed to participate, with the event poised to explore critical topics including Climate Change, Human Mobility, and Sustainable Investment.
The summit aims to bolster the capabilities of journalists, business professionals, members of the migration sector, and legal practitioners, while simultaneously directing attention toward the global migration order’s potential for positive human impact.
By fostering a platform for dialogue encompassing migration governance, human trafficking, and business-related concerns, the event strives to elevate the discourse surrounding these crucial issues.
The selection of speakers, according to Dr. Abayomi, was based on their commendable track records and contributions to advancing safe, orderly, and regular migration.
“In these challenging times, JIFORM is honored to facilitate discussions on human mobility that pave the way for solutions to global economic concerns, all while maintaining a focus on migration as a fundamental human right within the bounds of the law,” remarked Dr. Abayomi.
“Among the prominent resource persons, Honourable Gerry Weiner, former Secretary of State and Minister of Immigration and Citizenship in Canada, will be leading the roster. Weiner presently serves as the Executive Director of Global Relations, Partnerships, and Customer Satisfaction at APS Global Partners Incorporated, Toronto.
“The lineup also includes Kelly, a Canadian anti-human trafficking activist renowned for her participation in various UN initiatives.
“Her expertise spans issues of human trafficking, labor exploitation, and their intersections with eco-migration. As the Founder of a Survivor-led NGO, Kelly’s contributions extend to creating culturally sensitive safety campaigns and advocating ethical practices.
“Additionally, the event will feature Nermin Ahmad, a Harvard scholar representing Civil Society at the United Nations.
“Philomena Gnanapragasam, Director of the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD), Malaysia, will lend her insights as an experienced International Speaker and Media Executive.
“Her Excellency, Reverend Dr. Asie Kabuki Ocansey, a member of the African Union Labour Migration Advisory Committee, will grace the event as a guest speaker. She holds notable positions within international youth associations and labor migration diplomacy initiatives.
