In a resounding proclamation, the Miners Association of Nigeria has underscored Nigeria’s pivotal role in facilitating the worldwide transition from fossil fuels to renewable green energy sources.

The resolute assertion came to light during a momentous press conference convened in the nation’s capital, where the forthcoming 8th edition of the Nigeria Mining Week was unveiled.

Addressing the congregation of reporters, industry leaders, and stakeholders, Mr. Dele Ayanleke, the distinguished President of the Miners Association, expounded, “In an era where the global narrative centers on the paradigm shift from fossil energy to sustainable green energy, Nigeria emerges as an indispensable lynchpin.

With its colossal reservoirs of essential minerals requisite for this epochal transformation, it becomes an unequivocal imperative for stakeholders to forge a united front.”

“The imperative lies in collaborative efforts to proffer visionary insights to our policymakers,” Mr. Ayanleke elaborated, “enabling the pragmatic conversion of our natural resource wealth into a conduit for monumental economic advancement.

By expediently propelling our nation into an era of industrial renaissance, we are uniquely poised to harness the unprecedented potential inherent in our mineral troves.”

In concurrence with this epoch-defining pronouncement, the indomitable Dr. Mary Ogbe, the esteemed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, lent her formidable voice to the discourse.

Dr. Ogbe unequivocally affirmed the significance of the Nigeria Mining Week as an unparalleled arena for the nation to flaunt its wealth of mineral riches to discerning investors and to catalyze consequential dialogues among governmental authorities, mining operatives, investors, and an array of stakeholders.

Dr. Ogbe articulated, “The Nigeria Mining Week transcends its role as a mere convocation; it metamorphoses into an unparalleled crucible that distills cogent discussions, empowers knowledge sharing, and fosters symbiotic collaborations.

This convergence unearths the full spectrum of Nigeria’s mining sector potential, and with its historical tapestry of mineral endowments, the nation stands resolute in its pursuit of sustainable economic growth and holistic development.”

Chuma Amazigo, an accomplished Assistant Manager at PwC, cast a spotlight on the symbiotic relationship between Nigeria’s mining sector and its paramount diversification agenda.

Remarking on the profound pertinence of this confluence, Amazigo emphasized, “As an elemental cornerstone, the mining sector emerges as an incontrovertible linchpin in the multifaceted diversification strategy championed by the present administration.

Nigeria’s steadfast aspiration to emancipate itself from the shackles of oil dependency finds its path illuminated through the mining sector’s transformative potential.”

The crescendo of these visionary declarations culminates in the announcement of the much-anticipated 8th Edition of the Nigeria Mining Week, scheduled to transpire from October 16 to 18, 2023, in the capital city of Abuja.

This extraordinary gathering holds within its purview an unrivaled stage for astute investors to peruse and explore a mosaic of potential investment vistas across Nigeria’s burgeoning mining landscape.
